Tabernacle
Seasonly we run meetings that are environments to pursue His presence, that major on worship and that allow the Spirit to move amongst us
These meetings begin at 7:30pm and usually end around 9:30pm. Admission is free and there is an offering taken. Sadly, the last tabernacle had to be cancelled due to emergency electrical work on the premises. If you are signed up for the eNews we will keep you informed in advance of date and venue.
the usual venue is the Atkins Building Basement, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley. Leicestershire. LE10 1QU. But occasionally it has been elsewhere so watch this space!
Why Tabernacle?
In Acts 14:16 James quotes Amos and talks about the Lord restoring the tabernacle of David. The tabernacle of David was a brief period in the history of Israel, when David had returned the ark to Jerusalem and pitched it in a tent. Whilst in this tent, David would come, with the priests before the ark of the covenant and worship and seek Yahweh’s face. This was a privilege that had previously been reserved for the high priest, once a year. David, and all priests had constant access to the manifest presence of God; the cloud of God’s presence resting on the Mercy Seat of the arc of the covenant. Amos sees a time when Yahweh would restore this.
Tabernacle Nights are about coming before the presence of the Lord, to worship Him and to allow His manifest presence to come amongst us. Each time we come open to wherever the Holy Spirit wants to take us. We come purely to worship. It’s in encountering His presence that our lives are changed. We see who He is. We feel His touch. It changes us. We take that change with us into the rest of our lives. We have encounters that become a doorway for us to keep living in the power of that experience. It is in this place that intercession breaks out and nations are changed, because of His presence. It is not just talking about Him nor just singing about Him, but tangibly encountering Him.
We gather and we worship, using video projection of a worship service, that enables us to fully enter in. We start at 7:30pm and often we just worship and are finished at 9:00pm. At other times praying breaks out. We just go with what we sense the Holy Spirit wants to do. The focus is not ministry to others, but ministry to the Lord. Out of this, others will be touched through us.
Come and be with us as we welcome His presence amongst us. Come with us into His tabernacle.
